Modern Indian stamps are perhaps the most collected area of Indian philately – to broader collectors. It is a surprisingly diverse and interesting area, and perhaps a little unknown to most non-Indian collectors. For instance the period between 1985 and 2005 has some fascinations very scarce and highly sought after items.
